Application

Glass-Pad M80 / M125 is a high-efficiency glass media which offers better value for money compared to standard, permanent metal filters. M80 / M125 pads are particularly suited for use in engine, turbine, and smooth flow compressor air intake applications. A practical solution for HVAC systems where washing of panel filters prove to be problematic due to labour constraints.

CONSTRUCTION

Glass-Pad M80 / M125 is a disposable glass fiber pad. This pad consists of continuous glass fibers whose diameter becomes smaller and the progressively tighter from the air entering to air leaving side. This technology is known as progressive density. The media is colour coded to indicate the air entry and air exit flow direction. The colour may vary to customer specifications but green and yellow is the industry standard.

This structure allows dirt to penetrate deep into the media, utilizing the full depth of the pad. At those places where the fibers cross, they are bonded together to form a strong, thick, resilient pad. The dust holding capacity is further increased by impregnating the media with a tackifier gel.

This gel-like adhesive will not migrate at temperatures up to 100˚C. By compressing the Glass-Pad M80 / M125 pad into a retaining frame of 50 mm depth, the density and therefore the efficiency is increased even more.
